Lorain County Solid Waste Policy Committee

A Solid Waste Management District (SWMD) is governed by two bodies. The first is the board of directors which consists of the county commissioners. The second is a policy committee. The policy committee is responsible for developing a solid waste management plan for the SWMD. The board of directors is responsible for implementing the policy committee's solid waste management plan.  Ohio Revised Code dictates who shall be the members of the solid waste management policy committee for a county district.

2025 Policy Committee Meetings

Policy Committee Meetings will take place on the second Tuesday of every other month (except for November 2025).
