2021 District America Recycles Day Winners

America Recycles Day takes place every year on November 15th!

To celebrate America Recycles Day 2021, the Lorain County Solid Waste Management District gave classrooms in Lorain County a chance to “Take the Pledge” to learn more about recycling in their community.

We asked classrooms in Lorain County to sign the America Recycles Day Pledge as a class, and then the class pledge was entered for a chance to win a pizza party!

Congratulations to the winner of our America Recycles Day Pledge, Pat Harssema!

Pat took the the #BeRecycled pledge and won a Rain Barrel provided by the City of Avon Lake Public Works Dept.

The America Recycles Day #BeRecycled Pledge is promise to actively choose to live a recycled lifestyle by:

1. Recycling at home, work, school and on the go.

2. Buying products made with recycled content.

3. Educating and encouraging friends, family, and neighbors to take the 
#BeRecycled pledge.
