One of the primary missions of The Lorain County Solid Waste Management District is to educate all residents and students of Lorain County about the importance of:
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
The Solid Waste Management District has many educational presentations tailored to the specific interests and needs of your group. Our Community Outreach Coordinator can visit your civic organization, church group, parent-teacher organizations, classrooms, club, camp or scout group to speak about waste reduction and proper recycling. We also offer tours of our Collection Center!
Topics discussed include:
The importance of Waste Reduction, Material Reuse, Recycling Right, Natural Resources, Landfills and Litter Prevention.
Find out the answer to the questions:
“What is Contamination?” and “How does it effect my Community?”
Receive information on the Collection Center, Grant Opportunities, Onsite Waste Assessments, our C.A.B. (Clean and Beautiful) Trailers and much more!
