2023 America Recycles Day

ARD - Horizontal - Logomark - Original

NOVEMBER 15, 2023
ONE DAY to educate.
ONE DAY to motivate.
ONE DAY to make recycling bigger & better.

America Recycles Day is the only nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States! Held on November 15, America Recycled Day (ARD) educates and encourages individuals on how to be more mindful of what they consume, where and how to properly recycle, and to pledge to recycle more and recycle right in their everyday lives.

Focusing on individual action, the day highlights the actions we can all take to collectively address the challenges facing our nation's recycling system. Through ARD, Keep America Beautiful and it's partners inspire communities and individuals to recognize the economic, environmental, and social benefits of recycling.

The America Recycles Day #BeRecycled Pledge is promise to actively choose to live a recycled lifestyle by:

1. Recycling at home, work, school and on the go.

2. Buying products made with recycled content.

3. Educating and encouraging friends, family, and neighbors to take the
#BeRecycled pledge.

America Recycles Day Classroom Contest!

The Lorain County Solid Waste Management District and Keep Lorain County Beautiful are pleased to announce that America Recycles Day is coming up on November 15th. To celebrate this year, we are giving classrooms in Lorain County a chance to "Take the Pledge" to learn about recycling in your community.

By having your classroom sign and return the Classroom Pledge Sheet, your class will be entered to win a PIZZA PARTY!

For America Recycles Day, we encourage students to learn about what is recycled in their school and community, commit to recycling more and share the message of recycling with a family member or friends. We CAN make a difference by Reducing, Reusing & Recycling!

Please return your Classroom Pledge Sheet to our Community Outreach Coordinator / Special Projects Manager, Brandi Schnell, by November 17, 2023. We will be randomly choosing our winning class via Facebook Live from the District's social media page. The Winning teacher will choose which day to have their classroom pizza party.

You may return your Classroom Pledge Sheet via email, fax: 440-329-5777 or mail them to:
